- With well-developed characters facing a problem they need to solve
- Stories should demonstrate a positive decision-making process if needed.
- Stories should not be overly “preachy”. Instead, we want to see Catholic values displayed in real-life settings.

RETELLING OF BIBLE STORIES:
Reading the Word of God is arming ourselves with the “Belt of Truth.” With this in mind, Bible Story retellings should be true to the point of the original Bible story, told in a creative way. This means, it can be creative, but the story should be somewhat recognizable. When submitting, please reference the Bible verses at the top of your manuscript. We love to see stories that specifically follow the Liturgical Calendar so that we can integrate the stories encountered at Mass during the publication period, but it isn’t required.

ARTWORK:

The Process:
If we are interested, we will send you our contributor form to fill out. After we receive it, you will be added to our list of illustrators. When a manuscript is accepted and we think it matches your style and interest, we will assign the illustration with a projected deadline.

Hidden Picture Activity/Rebus - $25
Poem - $20
If there are special illustration projects that come up, payment will be decided at that time.
Payment is sent upon receiving the artwork.
Illustrator will always retain the right to use their work on their website and other promotions unless specifically stated otherwise.
