Day 25: Mary is Queen of Heaven

“I am the Queen of Heaven who prays for the conversion of sinners, and I wish you to do the same.” Our Lady of Good Help, 1859, Wisconsin, USA

Since Mary is our Mother, she wants what is best for us. When asked about Mary, Pope Benedict XVI explained, “She helps us. She is Queen precisely by loving us, by helping us in our every need.”

She is not a “mean” queen who loves power, but a humble Queen who knows God gave her the gifts needed to help us all. Is is by her rule of humility and obedience to God that she overcomes evil.

Prayer: Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, thank you for loving us, helping us, visiting us, and interceding for us. Help us to use these gifts wisely to honor God
