Day 19: Heaven is Our Home
“Today I was in heaven, in spirit, and I saw its unconceivable beauties and the happiness that awaits us after death. I saw how all creatures give ceaseless praise and glory to God. I saw how great is happiness in God, which spreads to all creatures, making them happy; and then all the glory and praise which springs from this happiness returns to its source.” – St. Faustina
We were made to live in Heaven. Heaven is our home. After the fall of Adam and Eve, God still made a way for us to join Him in Heaven when Jesus came to save us. Through the sacrament of Baptism God claims us as His. He called us to be holy and to join us in Heaven.
In our lives, we live out this call by preparing ourselves to be with Him. We nourish our souls with Holy Communion. We talk to Him by praying to Him. We learn about Him through the Church, Bible, and saints.
Prayer: Mary, pray for us and lead us to Jesus so we will be happy with Him in Heaven.
