Day 11: Mary is Sorrowful

The Sorrowful Mysteries

“A sword will pierce through your own soul.”  Luke 2:35

When Mary said yes to God’s plan, she knew that it would not be easy. However, she understood more when she presented Jesus in the Temple. At that time, Simeon was there and he knew that the child was the promised Savior. He told her that Jesus would suffer much and she would also. Yet, knowing this, Mary was still obedient to God’s will.

In our lives, there are many things that make us sad, too. Mary knows how we feel and like a good Mother she is there to help us get through the tough times we have. She helps us give it all to Jesus.

Prayer: Mary, when I am sad I remember your sorrows. Thank you for your loving care during these times.
