Day 10: Mary is Joyful

Mary is Joyful

“Mary set out and went with haste.” – Luke 1:39

When we look at who Mary is, we get a good idea from the mysteries of the Rosary. Today we are looking at the Joyful Mysteries.

Pictured above is a painting of the Second Joyful Mystery, the Visitation, by artist Corey Eisbacher.  Look at the joy on Mary’s face as she shares the news about becoming Jesus’ mother. As Christians, we experience some of this joy, too because we are in God’s friendship. Mary is the “Cause of Our Joy” because her obedience gives us Jesus.

In addition to the Visitation, the Joyful Mysteries also focus on the Annunciation, Nativity of Jesus, the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple, and the Finding of Jesus in the Temple.

Prayer: Mary fill me with your joy in God
