Mary Cares for us as our Mother

“They have no wine.” John 2:3

Today we continue yesterday’s reflection on the Wedding at Cana. It was out of love for others that she interceded for the host of the wedding. Today, she still intercedes for us. When we talk to Mary in our prayers, she brings them to God and prays for us. She also has brought messages to us from Heaven.

Some of these messages included her visits in Fatima, Lourdes, and Guadalupe. Her messages remind us to pray, fast, and offer our daily sufferings as a sacrifice. Why? Because our sufferings can be used by God to help others. This way we can join Mary and the saints as they help others from Heaven.

Today, we can take our daily problems and “offer them up.” Did something frustrate you today? Did something seem unfair to you? Did you lose your Soccer game? Were you left out of something? Did you stub your toe? All these little sufferings can be offered up to help the souls in Purgatory get to Heaven faster.

Prayer: “Oh Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day.”
