Day 5: Mary is Calm

“The Almighty has done great things for me.”

Did you ever notice how calm Mary is in the Gospels? Even in the bad times, she has this way about her. Mary does everything in little ways. She is not loud, overpowering, or demanding. At the Wedding at Cana, the host ran out of wine and asked Mary for help. She calmly went to Jesus. When Mary and Joseph lost Jesus in the Temple, she calmly questioned him.

In our lives, there are many times we might feel fearful, angry, or anxious. In these times we can turn to Mary and ask for her help. She can show us how to trust God. Even if we don’t always get what we want, we learn to trust God because of his loving care. Mary will help us see that God loves us, provides for us and helps us grow.

Prayer: Mary, teach me to trust in God
