Holy Trinity Sunday was instituted by Pope Gregory IX in the ninth century. It was not established until the fourteenth century by Pope John XXII.
Holy Trinity celebrated the belief in God’s three distinct forms, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe all three
possess divine traits, yet their
essence is undivided. This can be seen in the Baptism of Jesus with Christ in the water, the voice of God from Heaven, and the Holy Spirit as a dove.
