Parable of the Budding Fig Tree

Based on Mark 13:24-32

Jesus and His disciples were discussing the destruction of the Temple and the End Times. He had spoken of signs such as false prophets, wars, and other trying times. When his followers asked when all of this would happen, Jesus told them that nobody – not even Him- knows when it will occur.

Then He told His disciples the  Parable of the Budding Fig Tree. He said, “Look at the fig-tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not.”
