Hannah and Sir Hopalot

Hannah sat on the living room floor talking to her doll, Samantha when her big brother Henry walked.  He grinned in excitement and held out a box.

“What do you got there,” Hannah asked.

“A frog,” Henry said as he walked in the kitchen, still beaming.

 “A frog,” Mom, Dad, and Hannah exclaimed at the same time.

Henry opened the box and there was a tiny green tree frog with red eyes and long red toes.

“I bought him in the pet shop.”

Mom and Dad looked at each other. “What are you going to feed him,” Dad asked.

Hanna frowned. She hated frogs! They were nothing like a pet.
